Right next to Muji stationery, clothes and makeup, I also collect and hoard books. A lot of them are books I tell myself I will read, but never touch after a year or two. People always tell writers that in order to be a better writer, you have to read. Well, that must say something about my talent as a writer because I could go months, maybe even a couple of years on end without touching a book. Before, I had excuses such as reading assignments for classes and such or writing papers that would take too much of my time. Now that I have nothing, but time, I plan to properly get back into reading. Here are the few books I have on my bookshelf that are collecting dust, but stories I want to read nonetheless.
#1. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
#2. The Goddess Chronicle by Natsuo Kirino
#3. Granta 127: Japan by Yuka Iragashi
#4. The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente
#5. The Melancholy of Mechagirl by Catherynne M Valente
#6. The Bread We Eat in Dreams by Catherynne M. Valente
#7. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
#8. Malcom X: By Any Means Necessary by Walter Dean Myers
#9. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
#10. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
